Jud Payne

I'm originally from the mountains of Colorado where my wife and I raised our 2 kids near Estes Park.

The best way I know to describe myself is as a serial entrepreneur.

I left the pursuit of a degree at the University of Colorado in architecture in 1998 to start my first  company in the tech space - TOWC - specializing in web technologies and general website development. 4 years later I sold that company and started the first online motorcycle retail shop called

GoMoto and another tech company - Borealis Media - focused on data driven web technologies and developed solutions for companies like Western Union, Qwest, Fox Racing Shox, Century Link, AT&T,

 etc.

I then sold both of those companies in 2006 and started 2 more tech companies • Delivery Biz Pro and Scheduling+. These companies became very successful in the home delivery space and employee

scheduling genre. Both companies were sold in 2018 to a publicly traded company out of Australia and I retired.

But...l got bored in retirement and started our latest company - Island Bikeworks - on pine island. As you probably know we do sales, service, and rentals of standard bikes, electric bikes, recumbents, trikes,

and nearly everything in between. We are currently in the process of expanding and building a brand new bigger shop across the street from our current location. It will have a built in coffee shop and we

are adding paddle sport sales and service to our lineup in addition to the bikes.

We've lived in Matlacha for 5 years now, but have spent 20+ years on pine island as my parents used to live in Bokeelia.
